Constant pain in the joints leads to depression

Hi, six years ago, was diagnosed Fibromyalgia for my husband. For many years he was with unbearable pain, but studies were the norm, and he's a big guy and there is no kind of sick. It got to the point that doctors thought that doesn't need a hospital, and that's fine, and he could not walk. After lying in various hospitals, after his studies and made countless pictures in Sofia put this diagnosis. But unfortunately the diagnosis itself does not cure. Treat only the symptoms-pain that continues to be intolerable, persistent, with frequent crises that continue for months. Doctors are powerless. We are told: "If you know the cause, we will heal and the disease." But the treatment of symptoms is not a real therapy. We tried almost everything-medicines, herbs, massage,  different oils, food supplements, painkillers and. .. There is no benefit. How to sleep like they hurt? And if you fall asleep from exhaustion-you wake up by fierce pain. Is there any hope for my husband?

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by chronic pain, tension and fatigue in the muscles, tendons and joints, without the presence of inflammation. Patients also suffer from restless sleep, fatigue upon waking, tiredness, irritation, even depression. In recent years, with a sedentary lifestyle, more and more people suffer from fibromyalgia.

The word Fibromyalgia comes from Latin term for fibrous tissue, the Greek term for muscle (MYO) and pain (algiĆ¢).

Fibromyalgia is a serious disease of the muscles. She is not the type of arthritis  (joint disease) because it causes no inflammation or wear them, but also as arthritis and osteoarthritis can cause severe pain and fatigue. May be the reason for the difficulty of the routine activities and emotional discomfort.

Attention!

Affected by the disease are predominantly women (more than 80%) aged between 35 and 55 years. Less the disease affects men, children and the elderly. May occur alone or as a result of another illness (rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus ).

Little is known about the causes leading to the development of the disease. Sedentary lifestyles and high levels of stress in everyday life are considered prerequisites for the emergence of similar complaints. Recent studies reveal new facts about the disease. Patients with fibromyalgia have decreased levels of serotonin and damaged deep phases of sleep (which partly explains the frequent cases of tiredness upon waking and lack of tone).

Fibromyalgia is not always easy to diagnose because the symptoms vary for different people. Many of them mimic other diseases and no visible signs of the condition. There is also a laboratory or clinical examination for fibromyalgia.

The universal symptom of this disease is pain. As mentioned earlier, the pain in Fibromyalgia is not caused by inflammation. On the contrary, patients have an increased sensitivity. The result is an unusually low threshold for pain. Affect both sides of the body, most commonly the neck, shoulders, back, chest and buttocks. Additional factors may increase the pain-stress, noise, bright lights, changing weather and strong emotions. Fatigue is characteristic of 90% of patients with fibromyalgia.

To feel fresh and relaxed, it is very important to have a complete deep levels of sleep. Patients with fibromyalgia suffer from inadequate deep, restorative sleep levels. Therefore, patients often wake up in the morning without having to feel fully rested. Some patients get out of bed with muscle pain or muscle fatigue feeling like they "worked" all night. More than half of patients with fibromyalgia suffer from poor concentration, poor short-term memory, mood changes, irritability, anxiety, depression.
